The Lodge
This a lovely cottage, and romantic hide-away for a couple. It was built around 1910 and first updated in 1998, and again in 2013. So it now has a modern feel with traditional features blended together.
As a result it now offers spacious self catering accommodation for two people. In the bedroom has a four poster bed with a small and separate dressing area. The bathroom offers options as there is a bath with shower over, so you can take your pick. Views from the lounge are over the beautiful woodland garden below. And located in the original brick fireplace is the wood burning stove. An archway from the living room leads to the kitchen/dining area.
Gated parking for one car is in place, and from there two steps provide access onto the terrace. Here you will find a table and chairs for afternoon tea or evening barbecue, with one provided. The garden has a lawned area with mature shrubs.
There are 7 steps up to the front door. And if you find steps difficult, there is a level rear entrance. Unfortunately, given the age of the property, the rear door is not wheelchair friendly.
